Recorded webinar - 25th March 2021

So many people have found that being outdoors, in contact with nature, or indoors, with plants on a windowledge or bookshelf, or even imagining the natural world, or watching it on screen, has been an incredible source of support, sustenance, even succour through the challenges of Covid. Research repeatedly shows the benefit of engagement with the natural world, for all measures of health and wellbeing. For some of us this is a continuation of what we knew and drew on and perhaps promoted before: for others it is a revelation. For others, 'it' is a treasure yet to be discovered, or, perhaps through social deprivation, something that feels inaccessible, or even, through discrimination, something that is not 'for me', not welcoming.

This webinar will explore our relationship with nature, through the eyes of some who have promoted and explored the benefits in different ways over time, with children, young people and adults, what they have been given as well as given back: alongside an opportunity for all of us to share what we have experienced personally, loved and appreciated, through Covid..
